Awards and congratulations for our productive, fun and giving 2013/2014 year.
Approximately 50 members and guests gathered to celebrate the people who contributed to SIGCs successes from Fall 2013 to Spring 2014.
Awarding a $4,000 check to Pinal Council for CASA/Foster, Inc.  This years check will continue funding the Springboard To Success - providing dollars to help foster girls struggling in school and scholarship money for girls aging out of the foster care system.
SIGC President, Cathi Kniola, presents our VRA winner with a check for $250.  Her plan is to purchase toys/books for Ala-Tots: her nickname for the kids she helps take care of while their parents are in an adjacent room at a meeting.
President Cathi presents $250 to AA and Al-Anon representatives for a meeting home in Queen Creek.
SIGCs Women Opportunity Award winner started a local non-profit to assist pregnant teens. This organization providers care, services and education to girls needing support during a trying and challenging time.
WOA winner receives a check for $1,500.  These much needed dollars will go toward expenses for this 501C3 non-profit organization.

Thankfully the Sheriff came to the rescue.  Here he is, handing a large bag of cash to our SIGC President.  The robbers are locked up.
